Sometimes you don’t have to be sober to look at the world straight. Of course, if you prefer to do that without red, scratching eyes, a sore throat, the classical headache and no voice to express your feelings, you might want to get rid of some chemicals in your blood first.
Now, that we see trough our optical sense organs again, tell me what you see. Did I ask too quickly? Don’t mind! I’m going to explain it to you anyway. Most people care about the wrong things in life. I told you about wrong perspectives before (In change we find our relevance). Today I’m going to take the opposite position. As stated before, it’s important that we care about the big troubles in the world as well as to care about the small ones. A saying, probably Chinese, is somewhat like ‘take the serious problems with ease and the easy problems seriously’. You can really convert that to a larger scale. It truly makes no sense to abstain from eating because somewhere children are starving. You should, if your health is at risk by overeating, but not for anybody, anywhere.
The particular thing I want to pronounce is, you have to be able to say ‘I don’t give a crap!’. So many things in life are just unimportant. One main aspect about persons you love or like is that you care about them. Does that make sense if you also care about: shiny nail polish, alloy wheel rims, stupid shop assistants, cold coffee, bugging financial consultants? Make time your Christmas present. The ones who don’t value it, you don’t need to consider next year.
Those who matter don’t mind, and those who mind don’t matter!

Unsaid things tend to have little influence on world affairs. This may be sad as many great thoughts are lost within the face of oblivion. Anyhow, for some minds - believe me in that - it really is a very good thing. No doubt, there is always the messenger and the receiver point of view. But what does it matter when one is just honest and the other one is just mad. Anyway, this interface between two minds, may the transmission method be words, signs or smells, is a highly interesting field of research.
If you manage to truly understand what your counterpart is up to, you can probably achieve everything. That’s one of the reasons why rhetorics is quite a profitable business today. Its importance was known long ago as there were great orators in almost every culture. But, for example among the old Greeks, it appears that they shortened their lifespan by expanding their knowledge. Well, you should know when to shut your mouth.
Ever tried to insult someone while smiling by using a language the other one is not able to understand? That can be really satisfying but it’s also a kind of a lie and not what I’m talking about. What I mean is the potential of telling someone ‘I love your work in the way it is contrary to mine, which on the other hand has the advantage of showing the right figures and that’s the reason we should use mine, this time!’ instead of ‘Your work is trash. We’ll use mine, you piece of crap!’
Fight your wars within your thoughts!

When you find a new ’something’, the chances that it is junk are pretty high. In fact, take the world wide crap. Probably 99 per cent of it is useless waste. A waste of money and time. Take this blog. It even features unessential mental trash. I assume you could even fill a whole dictionary with synonyms for rubbish.
On the bright side, it shows where our civilisation is heading. The Inuit got 8 hundred words for snow, we got them for our garbage. Alright, it’s a never-ending hoax, they only have as much as any other language knows. But that’s not the point.
All goes back to Mr Human - the hunter and collector. Personally, I doubt the hunter feature as humans seem too lazy to me since right from the start. However, I really trust in the collection business of mankind. I mean, look at eBay and weird burned bread, old chewing gum or whatsoever. Everybody collects things that would be useless without the personal context. Example: take nuts, leave the squirrel, add a nut allergic and again, add an angry wife with lust to kill. Even nuts make sense.
So the context is the key to success. Change it and you got a whole lot of new opportunities - or a ton of crap.
